Oil Prices Today – November 5: Rising U.S. Crude Inventories Put Pressure on Prices

World Oil Prices Today – November 5, 2025

This morning, November 5, 2025, global oil prices declined as rising U.S. crude inventories raised concerns about weakened fuel demand.

As of 9:00 AM (Vietnam time):Brent crude traded at $64.05/barrel,WTI crude traded at $60.14/barrel

By the end of the previous trading session, both Brent and WTI fell around 0.6%.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) reported that U.S. crude inventories increased by 6.52 million barrels. This indicates weakening fuel demand in the U.S., putting downward pressure on crude prices.

Statistics also show that OPEC’s production in October reached 28.43 million barrels per day, an increase of 30,000 barrels per day compared to September. Saudi Arabia and Iraq recorded the largest gains. However, this rise remains much slower than peak production levels during the summer months.

In its annual energy outlook report, French oil giant TotalEnergies forecast that global oil demand will continue rising until 2040, before gradually declining due to growing concerns over energy security and emissions reductions.
