What is BAPPEBTI?

BAPPEBTI (Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi) is the regulatory authority in Indonesia responsible for supervising forex, futures, commodities, and other derivatives.

Forex trading platforms in Indonesia must be registered as futures brokers within the alternative trading system. Moreover, BAPPEBTI requires these companies to join a compensation fund. In case of bankruptcy, this fund will compensate clients for their losses.
